Sedation

At Gresham Pediatric Dentistry, our goal is to give every patient an experience that is as comfortable and as pain-free as possible. To that end, we present our families with a variety of options to help reduce patient anxiety and improve cooperation.

Nitrous oxide is offered and recommended for most patients and procedures to help eliminate hesitation and improve pain control.

For some patients and certain procedures, conscious sedation may be necessary, in which the patient is slightly sedated yet fully conscious and able to respond to direction. Many patients who feel nervous about dental visits prefer conscious sedation because it reduces anxiety and leads to a better overall experience.

GET THE DREAD OUT. PROPER COMFORT MANAGEMENT AND USE OF MODERN TECHNIQUES CAN HELP EVEN THE MOST NERVOUS PATIENTS APPROACH DENTISTRY WITH LESS ANXIETY.

Some patients—and some procedures—may call for more involved sedation procedures including IV sedation and general anesthesia either at Sprout or in the hospital setting.

We work with you, on a case-by-case basis, to find the treatment that best fits your wants and needs and concurrently allows Dr. Lee, Dr. Day and the team at Gresham Pediatric Dentistry to provide safe and comprehensive care to your child.
